LM Vertical Roller Mill (referred to as the vertical mill) is a large-scale grinding equipment that integrates functions such as fine crushing, drying, grinding, powder classification, and conveying. LM Vertical Roller Mill adopts a vertical structural design, with core components including a separator, grinding roller, grinding disc, and hydraulic pressure system. It achieves material pulverization through the centrifugal motion of the grinding disc and the rolling action of the grinding rollers.
Compared to ball mills, the LM Vertical Roller Mill reduces operational energy consumption by 20-30%, decreases footprint to 70%. It supports input materials with moisture content up to 15%.
LM Vertical Roller Mill is suitable for brittle materials with a Mohs hardness <7. The fully sealed negative pressure design and configuration with a pulse dust collector result in operational noise levels that are 20-25 decibels lower than those of traditional equipment.
The main motor drives the grinding disc to rotate through a reducer. Simultaneously, air enters the mill through the air inlet, and materials are fed onto the center of the grinding disc via the discharge port of a screw feeder. Under the action of centrifugal force, the materials move uniformly from the center to the edge of the grinding disc. As they pass through the grinding roller track area on the disc, they are crushed by the grinding rollers. Large pieces of material are directly crushed, while fine particles form a material bed for inter-particle crushing under compression.
The crushed materials continue to move towards the edge of the grinding disc until they are carried away by the strong airflow at the air ring. Larger particles fall back onto the grinding disc for further crushing, while the airflow-borne materials pass through the upper separator. Under the action of the separator blades, coarse particles return to the grinding disc for re-grinding, while qualified fine powders exit the mill with the airflow and are collected by the system’s powder collector.
Iron blocks and other debris in the material fall into the lower chamber of the mill and are scraped into the slag discharge outlet and discharged outside the machine by the scraper plate installed at the bottom of the grinding disc.
1. LM Vertical Roller Mill can effectively control product particle size, chemical composition, and iron content, resulting in high purity and whiteness of the finished material.
2. The compact integrated design reduces floor space to approximately 50% of that required by ball mill systems and allows for outdoor installation.
3. Equipped with an automatic control system, the LM Vertical Roller Mill is easy to operate and has low labor costs.
4. LM Vertical Roller Mill has excellent sealing performance, preventing dust from escaping.
